Do you actually see what the BU is going to be during the auf for 4b or before? I just started trying to do that a week ago and have improved my LSE slightly but I will almost always still have a pause in between 4b and 4c due to not processing the case faster than my U or U'.

One of the video questions I was going to make for you was about your ability to set up your UL and UR edges while you're fixing bad edges. I remember in a video you mention that in some cases you are able to place your edges while fixing the bad edges (or setting up your UL and UR while fixing). I was hoping you could make a video showing some bad edge cases and how you can set up good UL/UR fixes while orienting.

I'm trying to notice patterns, but it's so hard to keep track of UL and UR while fixing orientation.

You probably don't have to worry about that too much. It probably only saves 2-3 moves on average for the LSE if you know it.

I don't think it is anything too difficult. It is just solving EO with minor alterations. For example, the four flip with three bad edges on top can be solved efficiently in four different ways.

2-3 moves is a lot.

I've been intending to share how I do 4a+4b but honestly I don't really know how I do it myself. I just use a ton of tricks. Prediction of LSE during CMLL is a good idea.

I'd recommend practising loads'a LSE solves very slowly. 4a and 4b shouldn't really be separate- should be one thought process; even if you're not using tricks it still helps.

By the way, learning how to EO with non matching centres is an idea. I do it loads now. And I also use multiple 6 flip algs.

I was also gonna ask you about this, haha. I only really get to practice this when my CMLL alg finishes with an odd center, because after F2B, I usually fix the center (using a Rw for the final move instead of an R to fix if needed). Should I be just leaving the center alone to get more practice with odd centers?
 
It's more developing a sense that the orientation of the centre doesnt matter, that EO is relative. Starting with oriented, you may end misoriented. If you read Gilles Roux's site he mentions a few cases. Ill try to also make a list of special cases later on.

I believe Athefre posted a more complete list of cases, you can search the forums for it. His guide was a little hard to follow for me, and something I've been meaning to go back and understand since I was solving with Alex and he showed me how often it was useful.

I'm guessing non-matching center would be useful about half the time. I looked into it and it does seem to have some good solutions for often bad matching centers cases.

Alex, do you pay attention to your L6E while you're doing CMLL? Like do you pick up a read on your edges before you do CMLL and just know how your CMLL alg is going to impact your edges? You don't really pause between your CMLL and L6E, and I'm trying to figure out how.

Its more, during the last few moves of CMLL i can see what LSE case I'm gonna get
