Seems pretty good to me.

U' M' U M' U M U M'
U' M U2 M U' M2 U
M2 U2 M' U2 M

I got one less. Tough scramble.

Edit: Not how I would do but:
M' U' M U2 M U M'
U' M2 U' M' U2 M' U'
M2 U2 M U2 M
Just can't get better.
I got pretty much the same thing as you guys. Just a random scramble i made; it's good for practicing LSE.

Scramble: M' U2 M2 U' M2 U2 M U M U M' U M' U2 M2 U M'
How would you solve this scramble?
Try to average about 18 moves or less for LSE.

I do M turns with my right hand and U with left, so I favor M' and U'. By fluke, my straight forward solve for that scramble results in 14 moves: M' U' M' U2 M U' M U' M' U2 M' U M2 U

Can you guys critique this solve (If I could actually do it this way, I'd be pretty happy. This is an ideal solve if I had all the time in the world)

I'm not really a fan with all the cube rotations in FB.
maybe x' z' U L U2 L R2 U R' D' for the FB
your second block was very good.
Learn full CMLL; the regular bowtie alg should be faster, and maybe use the other j perm.
Overall, if that was a regular solve, that would be pretty good

Thanks, yeah, I have trouble using E or E' during FB, so I end up rotating the cube a lot. I think maybe because I started with Roux, I'm looking more for mid slices to fix bad edges. Maybe if I did some CFOP for a while, I'd get more comfortable using other methods.

Working on the full CMLL. I like that J-Perm, and I can bust it out pretty fast (mostly cause I use it almost every solve). I have anti-sune/sune done. I think bowtie is next? I'll do that this weekend.

I appreciate the feedback for sure. I'll probably post one a week to see how I'm coming along, especially on the first block.

great, i guess i'll look forward to that

In Alex's Second block video on his channel (and also First block I think), he mentions placing an edge first, then solving two pairs. This way seems a bit CFOP like -- does Alex just do this out of habit from being a former CFOP user? Or is this still a good way to solve the second block? (Clearly it is fast, right?)

You pretty much have to do it that way on the second block. Your mobility is limited a bit, so it's hard to make anything bigger. You can insert edges pretty easily if you have the corner in place though:
http://alg.garron.us/?alg=M_R_U_M-_U-_R-&ini=R_U_M_U-_R-_M-&stage=F2L

Also, you don't have to pair the DR edge corner first, you can do the FR or BR edge first, but then you need to do the BR second (basically just the fastest 2x2 block). I think that's different than CFOP. So this example has the Right-Back edge (Red/Blue) already done, so then you just need the RBY corner and the RY (bottom edge) to make your 2x2:

http://alg.garron.us/?alg=M_U-_M-_R...ni=R2_U_M_U-_R-_M-_U_M2_U_M_r_U2_R2&stage=F2L

IS it Ok for me to post a solve on here so that Roux users could comment (and critcise) it? I'm new to Roux, by the way.
( and speedcubing)
So....
Scramble: D F2 D' L2 R' F' R B2 D F U2 L2 B' L' B R' B2 L F' L R' U D B U
Inspection:
FB: F M U' M' U'L' U2 L R' U M U2 M' U2 B
SB: U' R M2 U2 R U2 r' U' r R U R' U' M2 r U R'
CMLL: R U2 R' U' R U2 L' U R' U' L
LSE: U M U M U' M2 U M U2 M' U x' U2 M U2 M

Edit: Does it work? I tried it, but all I got was a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. I don't know whether I just messed up on the moves, or if my solve is incorrect or something.

It's not a good way to solve SB imo. The best way would be seeing which 3 pieces you can connect in best way and then do it, I personally just do a pair which I see firstly, then find an edge, connect it and then add pair. I guess this is decent way of doing SB. But of course, sometimes it actually is a good way to insert edge first.

Some F2B example solves from me:

D L' U' R2 D2 F R2 F2 U' L' F2 U2 F L2 F' U2 D2 B L2 F // Scramble
y' // Inspection
M U2 F' U' r2 U2 R B' // (8/8) FB
U' (R' M') U' R' U2 (R2' M) U M' r U r' // (13/21) SB
Ended up with 46-move solve.

D2 R2 B' D2 B U2 B' R2 U2 B' L2 D R2 D F2 L R2 U2 F' D' R2 // Scramble
z2 y' // Inspection
U' x r2 (D' U) r B' // (6/6) FB
R U R' U' r' U' r R U R' // (10/16) SB
Ended up with 41-move solve

L2 R2 D L2 R2 F2 D' R2 F2 D2 F2 R' B2 F' U B2 R B2 U B' U' // Scramble
z y // Inspection
M' D' U2 F r' F // (6/6) FB
R' r' U2 R U R2 U2 R' U' R U R' // (12/18) SB
Ended up with 38-move solve

In average 11.67 moves for SB, but it's good for me, I guess it takes me ~13-14 moves to do it in speedsolves (in average)

LSE: U M U M U' M2 U M U2 M' U x' U2 M U2 M

No it's not. Even the first block doesn't work.

Also, an awefully lot of moves for the first block. Here is a solution with the same colors (assuming you wanted your FB with white bottom, orange left):
x'
F' D' R2 F' r2 R' F' r2 B2 r B'
M' U' R U M U r U2 r' U' R
U' x' D R2 U' R' U R U' R2' D' R U Lw'
U2 M' U' M' U2 M' U M U M' U2 M' U M2 U' M U2 M' U2

But that was a hard first block. I would do:
R' F' M B' U2 R' U M2 F
R2 U R' r' U' R2 U' R' U M' U r
U2 R' D R U' R U R' U R' D' r
U' M' U2 M' U M U2 M2 U M' U2 M2 U2 M

EDIT:
Your LSE was:
U M U M U' M2 U M U2 M' U x' U2 M U2 M

Assuming that is right:
In the end, instead of x' U2 M U2 M, why not M U2 M U2 ?
And:
In the beginning, instead of U M U M, why not U M U M' ? Makes Step 4b easier:
U M U M' U' M' U2 M U M2 U M U2 M U2 M2
or:
U M U M' U' M' U2 M U M2 U M' u2 M' u2

Got a 49 move soln. :)
