Don't have any A4, so I printed it on some 3x5 index cards. It looks beastly (except yellow looks white, but that's my printer). I also printed out a bunch on 8.5x11 standard paper to check the sizes and stuff, so now I've got 17 CMLL sets lying around :P I've got 9 sets on a single page (not sheet, page)

Meh, the idea of it being small is that it's mobile so it can be carried anywhere... Cubing on the go

Glad you liked it... somewhere I have 35 copies on the same page, far too small but funny to read with a magnifying glass :D

Roux M slice help

hello all,

i am a cfop user avging sub-20 and i've decided to learn roux

i've found many tutorials on the method itself but none on how to effeciently use the m slice during first and second blocks
being a cfop user, i dont really know how to use the m slice efficiently so if oyu guys have any tips that would be great

thanks

Instead of paring edge and corner (F2L pair) on F/R/L, line them up on M and slice it in... then, opposed to using F, use wide R/L to place it.

5BLD knows a lot more (immeasurably more) ... but this is basically what he will say :p

Seeing as you're a CFOP user - do some solves and whenever you get a pair with a bad edge (you can't solve it using <R, U> moves), put the edge in UF and do an M' - then solve the pair, and then return the cross edge.

It's essentially used to avoid rotations while blockbuilding.

i cant solve a full cube using roux yet (i havent learned)
right now im just practicing solving the two blocks
i already know how to do the last corners as thats the same as oll and j/y perm

should i be learning roux this way or should i learn how to LSE first

OCLL / PCLL is just 2 look CxLL.. most beginner Rouxers use it until they decide to learn CLL/CMLL/COLL

L6E is just a matter of cycling OE, 5BLD and Panda have a website with pretty much every case on... even I find it helpful and I'm already a Roux user :D

I should make an 'CFOP to Roux Transition Help' video. Ill do it tomorrow bro.

Or even an *Insert major method here* to Roux transition

Major methods being Beginers?, LBL, CFCE?, Petrus and CFOP... + any others you wish to add :p

You may find this helpful. Or not. Panda is better at explaining stuff than me. And my voice is really quiet. Also, scrambles are in the description of the youtube video.

And this is mad, but if you understand the tutorial you'd be saving a heck of a lot of time compared to if you were to watch a regular tutorial which is up to 10x longer? I think you can work it out after watching this less than 10 times:

Ill start with CFOP. Might actually do it tonight. Then ill move onto other methods.

Transition from Triangular Francisco to Roux, hm, just a matter of getting used to M instead of E...

Lol. What's wrong with it? I believe there's no such thing as too fast paced? Am I being unclear? I wanna make an understandable but quick tutorial you see :)
Also some have told me this old one is a lot better. I don't think so.

Also OP, if you haven't already navigated to rouxtorial.webs.com, check it out

Try to have pictures on there, while youre talking. It takes more time to talk about one thing at once, when you could draw each case on a piece of paper and talk quickly about each. Talk about main points and not shortcuts.
So, show case with alg and explain.

Ok. Got it. So like my long 2 minute EO tutorial. Will try that tomorrow. I thought the more intuitive way of teaching EO might help understanding. Seems not xD

i cant really picture how to solve pairs using the m slice is the problem and why i made this thread

i can make the pairs using f2l strats but that takes longer than actually using the m slice and roux solving it
i need some help on how to picture how to use the m slice
