I realize this is the help thread, but i feel like, that this belongs here, to show that you guys have really helped me out with Roux. I just got a sub-20 average using it and a new PB! the PB was 14.067!!!

Congrats! Sub-20 was one of the hardest barriers for me. It's so satisfying when you finally beat it.

And no, this doesn't just have to be a help thread - it's for discussion too. You can post PBs here if you want!

we this is a discussion thread as well. if it is at all related to roux, it is welcome here. and i call that case you are reffering to "front bars" (event though there is only one bar on the front, but aint nobody got time for correctness)

OK and now for a question. If after doing EO, and I have a solved F2L, and have a U-perm, should I use M slices to solve, or just use the RU version? Im faster at the RU version

well you shouldnt even be thinking in terms of pll and cfop. during a roux solve, the method should be so natural to you that you would only ever consider solving it based off of roux method standards. that is a sign of true comfort with the method.

hey, sub 30 is still a pretty great accomplishment. well, i think i recommended that you sticking with cfop a while ago, but it seems that you really like this method. i see no reason for you to have to pick one over the other. the last time i talked to Louise de Mendonca (or TDM as you may know him here... his name is just to beautiful not to use in its entirety ;) ) he said that he averaged low 13sec with both methods, and his fastest averages were those where he wouldnot limit himself to one specific method.

With the bar in front, try solving it like Roux. It's actually a lot faster, and is four fewer moves with on regrips, unlike the normal <R,U> U perms:
setup: R U' R U R U R U' R' U' R2
solve: M2 U' M U2 M' // ULUR
U' M2 // EP
I use this for U perms when doing CFOP as well. They're so much nicer than the normal RU ones.

also, don't forget the ç!

This is the 360 page of this thread, a circle has 360°
