Thanks for the tips, Jedi aand GuRoux!

@JediJupiter - Nope, I am learning 2 look CMLL. I gotta learn 9 algs and I learned 1 today!! :D

@GuRoux - Okay, so LSE < 20 moves, right? I'll try for that from now on. Thanks for the help :D

recognition is probably what you want to work on for cmll. make sure you are averaging less than 20 moves for lse.

As it happens, LSE is probably the part of the Roux method I found easiest to get my head round. 20 moves (STM) seems to me to be a worst-case scenario. Even from all 6 edges "bad" it should be possible to finish in 20 or less?

I just realised it could be better if the camera was on the right so you could see the second block more easily, but it's a bit late to change that :p Any tips?

Try to get cmll and blocks done sub 10. Work on being more confident with lookahead in second block and predict co. In lse, work on recognition and lookahead.
Ok. Looks like my first block is about 3-4 seconds (6 on one of the solves, lol); would 3-5-2 be good splits to aim for, or should one step be faster than that?
Lookahead during my first block is definitely a problem. I was more confident with it today and averaged about 1.5 seconds faster than normal. The problem is, I can't keep being confident for long enough :p That's going to happen with me still being new to Roux though; I think I'll practise my second block a lot, maybe doing some RrU scrambles and doing an Ao50 soon.
I've been practising LSE a lot recently, and I'm constantly changing my turning style and the way I solve it. I think the way I've been doing it most recently has been working well, so I'll keep using that for a while. For now, I think my blocks need the most work.
Thanks for the feedback.

I'm at 2-4-3 but 3-5-2 works if you can get 2s cmll.

I did a load of solves overnight and counted the moves for lse each time. The most I needed was 18, and most of the time it comes out between 12 and 15. Think I'm doing OK with the edges!

By the way: hey Waffo, I really like your Roux site, it has helped me a lot!
