All i have is the pic of the logo and a pic of the whole cube (the cube isnt mine). The colours are painted on, which made me think Diansheng, but the logo is wrong. Im not after the specific model, just the brand. Anyway, heres the other pic.

For some reason that to me looks like a shengshou v1, with a store brand or maybe something like that sticker.

No way to tell for sure though without seeing the innards.

Stackmat Timer Gen 2?

I just recently bought a speed stacks set and quite unsure if this is a gen 1 or gen 2 .

Unfortunately it doesn't have a data port.

i thought gen 1 supposed to have the timer and mat as one piece.
gen 2 and gen 3 has both port and portless version and the different generations refer to the way the mat connects to the timer.

We have been using Gen 3 for a while here ;) But I hate them, because if you are used to the Gen 2, you sometimes don't stop the timer. Also a friend got an extra attempt because his timer turned off when he stopped and the time was not saved...

So this is a gen 2 only without the ports ? :)
I think it's not a prerequisite of the wca that gen 2 should have ports but the downside is there will be no timer display for the competitor ? did i get it right? :D

Thanks for answers people :)

And also an additional info can you start the stackmat timer with only 1 hand because mine can be start even with one hand placed on right sensor . is that normal?

wait so there are 2 gen2 models, one with port and one without? Hm, never knew.

Yeah, the port-less Gen 2 timers are oftentimes called StackPack timers.

No, you should probably change the battery. Either that or the timer is just a bad one.
