It's real cheap for a great cube..

FangCun or a Zhanchi if the center caps hve the dayan logo then its a Zhanchi if not ten its a Fangcun

The cap has no logo. So it is a Fangcun for sure? I can take it of my wishlist then

I have gotten my cube in, exact copy save for a few really minor details of a dayan zhanchi. I have made a number of photo's, and will show them soon after I have smallified them

I don't know yet if it is a fancun, but if someone WITH a fancun can check ONE thing for me, then I will be able to tell yea or nea. Anyone have one?

Ok.. let's see if this wishes to work. I have taken pics side by side of my well broken in yellow zhanchi (excuse the little dirty), and the new Magic Friends that has been given a link to earlier in this topic. One difference I see INSIDE is on the edgepieces. You can see it in the picture when you look head on at the torpedo and see the small ridge right there that is not there on the zhanchi. The torpedos are the exact same size by the way. There are a few other small differences but I think that ridge might determine Fancun yes or no.

On the outisde it also seems the cubies are a wee bit bigger and for a fact the edges are more rounded off. I haven't yet tensioned it or anything, I plan to take it apart and lube it and all first (and also push the parts of the pieces together properly).

Wow, nice comparison pictures! I just love my Magic Friends cube. It's currently my main cube. Did many solves on it.

One big difference is that the cube is bigger than a 57mm zhanchi. Just measured, it's 58mm. That accounts for the slightly bigger pieces as well.


Does anyone have a fancun please?? I really want to find out if this is that or yet another knockoff.

It's not a Fangcun. The torpedo is different and there is no ridge on that edge piece that I can see like my cube here has. So I think it is safe to say that this is a different Dayan zhanchi knockoff.

Watch out, not all MF cubes are the dayan knockoffs.

Kattenvriendin got his order from zcube today, and it looked to be in perfect condition. I have ordered Shengshou 4x4 and 5x5 and a few Shengshou winds, but I haven´t gotten them yet.

Can anyone help me identify the cube in this picture? Parts of it remind of the V-cube pieces, but not overall and not the core. Bonus points if anyone is aware of patents on this design. Thanks.

It's what it says it is, it's an Alpha Chun 1. I heard it's part of a new series Alpha is making (can anybody confirm?). I believe it's actually a pretty recent release.

Not a clue from just that. Most new ones that are sold nowadays though are v4s.
