The purpose of this poll is to determine which is more widely used Petrus, Fridrich, or other. (like Roux or Heise) Which do you use?
EDIT:Sorry About Spelling...

I voted Fridrich method because you asked us in your post to vote on the method we use (but strangely you give no hint to this in the poll question itself). However, I quite frequently start by solving a 2x2x2 rather than a cross in my solves. I sometimes even do a 2x2x3, then expand to a cross/F2L style solve.

I can't honestly say I use Fridrich only, because I have a strong preference for the Petrus beginning over the Fridrich cross beginning. I actively strive to do Petrus style blockbuilding at the start of my solves over cross building when I am able to see it during inspection.

Chris

P.S. you might find these useful

Fridrich is surely most used. However, I voted Petrus because I thought you were asking what you should go after. I feel Petrus (and blockbuilding in general) gets you a better understanding of the cube than Fridrich (anyone can use algorithms).

But not everybody has the will power to memorize them ;)

Petrus is my all-purpose method that I use for FMC, speed, and just casual solving. Fridrich is only for speed. Most of my speedsolves are still Fridrich, but my Petrus is getting faster and faster.

Your choice, but I voted for other. I'd go for Roux. You don't want to end up like me (trying to switch from Fridrich to Roux).

yea, im probably lucky that i switched to roux before i was set to far into any method

Wow what an ignorant post. I most certainly didn't learn any algorithms for Fridrich F2L. And I'd like to see you solve the LL in any method without algorithms, and to do it efficiently at the same time.

I voted for other. I use ZZ, switched from Fridrich about a week ago.

You mean Petrus?

Nice Fanwuq! What kind of times are you down to now? Oh yeah...LOOK AT MY SIG

Still low 20s averages and some sub-20 singles. Best single is a 14.xx.

Really? I thought you would know better.

Its not as efficient but the ll can be solved quickly enough (not world record quickly enough but still quick) with commutators.

Heise? I don't know, it's not really a LL because of the DFR corner... but commutators is pretty efficient.

No... I actually mean Roux. I switched from Roux to ZZ.

Bad poll setup...
I thought you were trying to ask which method to use, so I said other. And in the post you say you want to find which methods are used most, but the only options are Petrus, Fridrich, and Other. I think it's widely known that Fridrich is used by many more people than Petrus.

@ byu - No offense, but it seems like you "switch" methods every few days. You start with Fridrich, go to ZZ, then make up Yu-Korick, then switch to Petrus, then to Roux, and now back to ZZ. And I bet you probably still use Fridrich for your speedsolves.
