Open your command line hitting win+r, typing cmd and enter, then in the console that pops up, type cd path/to/ksolve++ and hit enter.

To create the .exe for you puzzle, type ksolve++ yourPuzzle.def and hit enter to create yourPuzzle.exe

You should then be able to run yourPuzzle.exe by just typing it into the console
I'm still struggling. Here's where I'm up to. I go to cmd and type:

D:/cubing/software/ksolve++ and press enter and get the following

Ksolve++ [definition-file]
Ksolve++ [definition-file] [scramble-file]

I am then unsure what to type to cell the Def files. Within the software folder is ksolve exe and a folder called Def with my file in it called 3x3 for hypothetical purposes. What do I type next please?

Make a new folder for each def that you create. Open the command line in that folder and run ksolve++ 3x3.def. It will generate code and compile it into a new program called 3x3.exe (assuming your def starts with the line Name 3x3). Then run 3x3 scramble.txt to solve the scrambles in the scramble file

I want to use cstimer and a stackmat at the same time, but I can't figure out how to use WCA inspection.

Any help is appreciated :D

I have it connected to my computer, and it's decently buggy. I can't figure out how to get it to consistently start the inspection. How exactly do you do it?

I think you place your hands on the timer lightly but dont let it go to green. It should start at the red light. I would recommend phone stopwatch because it is a bit inconsistent

Okay, thanks. Do you have any recommendations for online clients that just do the timer? I am looking for one with a voice, like cstimer.

So I am trying to generate U-perms with the square 1 def file here:

UF and DF are pieces 12 and 24, I guess he just forgot to write them in the comment.

Also, you will need to use ksolve+ for this because ksolve++ doesn't support bandaging. Although really if you want to generate square 1 algs, you should use Jaap's optimal solver

Yeah was messing around with Jaaps and above ^ yesterday with ignore piece function by dougbenham but when I try using the basic ignore command it closes the program. maybe you can help me understand the "proper" technique to do this as with what I input it I get:

D:\Games\sq1opt22>sq1optim.exe A2B3C1D45E6F7G8H -t-k-k-k----------

Initializing...
5. Shape transition table..
4. Colouring 1 transition table..
3. Colouring 2 transition table..
2. Colouring 1 pruning table..
1. Colouring 2 pruning table..
0. Finished.

Flags: Turn Metric, Find Only First Solution
Position to solve: A2B3C1D45E6F7G8H
Searching depth 0..

I am wondering if there are any sites that are similiar to Algdb in that there is a nice layout and many algorithms but I am wondering if there are alternatives that:
A) have more sets like Magic Wondeful (vls subset), TTLL/TSLE (ZZ-CT), CLL for 3x3 (CFCE), F2L-Jperm PDF style.
B) you will actually be able to submit algs, I tried doing it through Algdb and it wouldn't take so I contacted someone from the cubicle and they said it was up to the developer who does not do that much to the website these days.

Hello,

I am looking for a way to get images (png, jpg, doesn't matter) of "flat" 2 x 2 - n x n cubes if I have a Scramble. Something like the 6 sides shown in the offical WCA scramble PDFs.

1588669841151.png

For 3D and OLL/PLL I already use the visualcube website of CubeRider. This works perfect! But there is no possibility to get such flat pictures with all 6 sides of the cube http://cube.rider.biz/visualcube.php

So a website which takes the scramble as URL-Parameters or a webservice or also a Java or C# library would help.

Thank you
Thomas
