it’s been a while, but sure!is it possible for you to post a video?
whatever you decidehow many solves?
Reminder to all the newer members that the "Cubing Progression" subforum wouldn't exist if it weren't for this thread

not really cubing actively anymore unfortunately, went back up to around 15 for 3x3 average. GL with improving your average though!@PetrusQuber How's it going? I've just recently gotten back into cubing from over a year hiatus and I've gone from 14-15 global to 16-18 2h and somehow the same oh. I remember scrolling these forums like mad back when in I was a serious grinder so just thought of checking in.
Maybe try implement pseudo-2x2x2 (if possible), colour neutrality isnt that good. (read jayden mcneills blog on it), and increase tps?I feel like it would be VERY hard to achieve even sub 12 with Petrus. Other methods have much more potential and have many more resources. There are hardly any videos on Petrus but quite a few more for CFOP being the most popular. Then Roux being the second most popular has a decent amount of videos. And then ZZ being Third has a few videos on it. I feel like you should switch to ZZ or Roux because there are still this block building elements to them so you would not be horrible using them at the start.
could you summarize for me or link the blog?colour neutrality isnt that good. (read jayden mcneills blog on it)
It was basically about worlds 19 and how Sean and the Weyer brothers were the podium and weren’t CN. The idea was you had more time to focus on your solution and that you get more familiar with the pieces and where they belong.could you summarize for me or link the blog?
Unless you drill it a lot, COLL and EPLL is going to take longer than OCLL and PLL as I think that corner recognition can be quite difficult - if you have the time, the best option would probably be to go back to the point you mentioned before of learning ZBLL.- First Ao5 in 5 years, barely sub 30
- Forgotten every LL alg except for the U perms, the A perm and sune
- I kind of want to learn them again
- So I’m back to cubing for a little bit
- Sub 20 soon?
Edit: I reached sub-12 using COLL + EPLL, was there an actual advantage compared to using OCLL + PLL?
I think that corner recognition isn’t inherently harder than edge recognition; I remember having to switch my brain from recognizing corners to recognizing edges when going from beginner’s method to 2-look PLL and then again when learning 1-look PLL and thinking it was harder. I can’t really say anything for recognizing orientation and permutation in the same step though.Unless you drill it a lot, COLL and EPLL is going to take longer than OCLL and PLL as I think that corner recognition can be quite difficult - if you have the time, the best option would probably be to go back to the point you mentioned before of learning ZBLL.
I think I'll just learn both for now, and see where it goes. The PLL came back pretty easily, haven't started on COLL yet.Unless you drill it a lot, COLL and EPLL is going to take longer than OCLL and PLL as I think that corner recognition can be quite difficult - if you have the time, the best option would probably be to go back to the point you mentioned before of learning ZBLL.
It's the first progression thread ever, so pretty likely!Would this be the progression thread with the most messages?
The most messages ever would me JDAW6's thread, with nearly 2,400 messages. Though it's debatable with how off topic it got, as to whether everyone would agree it's the most messaged progression thread.Would this be the progression thread with the most messages?
Current Goals (reaching sub-15):
- Inspect the full 2x2x2 in every solve CURRENT
- Aim to solve every 2x2x2 in 7 moves or less CURRENT
- Aiming for sub-1.5 2x2x2 CURRENT
- Learn full PLL CURRENT
- Learn two-sided PLL recognition using the BH method CURRENT
- Aiming for sub-5 LL CURRENT
