I just ordered a Square-1, so I'm probably not going to get any new puzzles anytime soon, but I might eventually get a megaminx. Until then, does anyone know of any virtual megaminx online software?

Semi-Look ahead?

Moving a lil bit faster about 4tps?just looking ahead with the corner? its just practice for the full look ahead.

What?

You can look-ahead at any turning speed, it's just easier the slower you get.

You can try just tracking the corner, but soon you should just move on to a corner-edge pair.

ok im workin on it.. thus i aint using a speedcube i use DS with lube(creamsilk) it was like a speedcube though.

uhmmm... you are using Creamsilk? (the shampoo??!) dude, you can buy a Silicone Lube at any hardware store....

anyway, look ahead comes naturally for me, specially if I'm practicing a lot... which, rarely happens nowadays! lol

how do you look ahead? (was: probably the most n00bish question you'll ever hear)

ok, well, here goes, how do you look ahead when solving (3x3x3 if it makes any difference) or do you have any helpfull tips

For fridrich method:
When doing the F2L when you insert an F2L pair, you pay no attention to it and begin looking for the next pair. This means you can move smoothly from the current F2L pair you just inserted, to the one you just saw. People say 'go slow and look ahead' The reason for going slow is so that you can see everything that passes you and it is easier to spot F2L pairs.

To summarise: Knowing the next pair whilst inserting the current one for a smooth transition from one to the other.

I don't know whether that helped or not >_<. Hope it did. ^^

Good advice on F2L, probably the most important in terms of lookahead, but lookahead can be used in all stages. During the initial Cross/EOLine, try finding your first block/pair as you execute your pre-planned moves. On the final F2L Pair, try to guess what OLL case you have. Then, try slowing down your last couple OLL moves, to do a smooth transition into PLL - not easy for me
