How fast can u solve the first 2 layers using intuitive f2l?
can it really get u fast? or is it a must to learn the full 42 f2l algos for fridrich to get speedy?

pretty much just as good as alg-based f2l. at least the algs i came up with and use are pretty much identical to the ones i would have memorized on macky's f2l page
with the exception of this one case where corner & edge are paired incorrectly such that the D-color of the corner is on top, and the F color of both is identical (cases M1 and M2 on macky's page)
i don't like that case very much.

I used algs as a support when learning F2L, but now I would say I know intuitive F2L. I can solve the first two layers in 8.5 seconds on average and the whole cube in 13.

I average probably 10-12 seconds (assuming that F2L means First 2 Layers).

Edit: Apparently my assumption was wrong, and F2L means exclusively Fridrich F2L here. Oh well.

I learned a basic (corners, then edges) method before going to intuitive F2L and I only plan to learn the idealized algorithms if I have major problems getting under a minute solve with what I'm doing now.

Intuitive F2L is when you solve the First Two Layers of the Fridrich method intuitively. There are 41 F2L algorithms for the F2L, but most people don't bother learning them, and learn to solve the F2L intuitively. Intuitive F2L has it's advantages and disadvantages, and it "covers" most of the F2L algorithms.

A great place to learn intuitive F2L is badmephisto's excellent tutorial video:
