Month 1: About 2 and a half years ago. Solved the cube for the first time with LBL. Averaged around 2 minutes very early on.
Month 2 - Month 17: Barely did any cubing, just a few times a year for show or maintenance XD.
Month 19 (Now January 2014) : Averaged Sub-1 minute
Month 24: Started using something other than a rubiks brand (Zhanchi). Made Sub-30 at the end of the month.
Month 25-26: Began averaging Sub-25.
Month 27-28: Showed little improvement due to vacations, but I got a new 3x3, and my first 2x2 and 4x4. Got really stuck at 20-25 seconds.
Month 29: Began getting sub-20 averages.
Month 30: 18-20 second averages on a good day.
Month 31: Went to my first competition. Unfortunately nerves got to me and I got a 20 second average. By the end of the month I got Sub-17.5 averages.
Month 32: Sub-16.5 Globally
Month 33 (January, 2015): Started practicing 3 new events, 7 in total. 3x3 average: Sub-16.
Month 34: First Sub-15 Ao100 and Sub-10 single. Began some. BLD solving (Now 8 WCA events known.)
Month 35 (Now): Sub-14 Average of 5 and 12. 8.54 second single! Known WCA events: 9

Not really sure about times until Month 5, December of 2013, when I started seriously practicing. Judging by AO100 pbs, so likely not global averages.

Wow! I'm year 3 your post makes me feel really pathetic since I am still 40 second average.

Uh...I started cubing in probably October. I averaged 1:20 min the first time I timed myself, which was about three days after I could solve it without a tutorial.

Now it's March, and I'm close to sub-20, and just got my PB of 14.85 yesterday.

Breaking into sub-30 was the hardest step for me so far, and I was almost back up to sub-30 status until a while ago because I was lacking motivation, but the PB really picked me back up and my look-ahead game is ON POINT!

Very Nice! I can't wait to get sub 15 so I can finally compete.
I see in your signature you got a PB sub 5s!!
Beat Feliks!

Feliks' unofficial record is somewhere in the 3.somethings, so he didn't beat Feliks since his solve was probably unofficial too.

Anyway, as for my (terrible) progress,
Month 1: around 2 minutes
Around 3 months later (April 2012): around 40 seconds
5 months later: 35-45 seconds
April 2014 (April is when the only competition in my area starts): 30-40 seconds
5 months later: 27 seconds
April 2015: 17-22 seconds
Now: 16.45
Sorry about the huge gaps, but I have a bad memory.

Unofficial PBs are very different from official ones.

Probably unofficial? If it was official he'd have the WR.

Month 73: ~17.

I have improved slowly.
I'm not going through what I remember of my 3x3 speed for the past 6 years.
But here are some highlights.
sub 1 min - between Juy 2 and July 10. That was the week before my first comp. I improved 10secs from 1:04-54.
sub 30 - June-ish 2011 maybe later. I can't remember when.
sub 20 - early 2013 I started getting the odd sub 20 average at the end of 2012.
sub 15 - Still yet to happen.

I started serios speed cubing in august/september but
for 3x3:
month 1 march/april 2014 ~4:30
month 2 may ~3:30
month 3 june ~1:30
month 4 July ~ 55
month 5 august ~45
month 6 september (started really practicing) ~35
month 7 october ~30
month 8 november ~26
month 9 December ~24
month 10 January 22
month 11 February 21
month 12 march 2015 (now) 19.5
month 13 april hopefully 17-18
