cubingapp suggestion thread

Hey @Spencer131, how often does your WCA data update the site? It hasn’t updated in almost two weeks, so I was just wondering. Thanks!
tbh I don't have a set schedule, but I should have one. in the past i usually just do it whenever i remember, which is not consistent

it's updated now, and I'll start updating every monday since most comps happen on weekends

I saw that some people said they want to know If they are the Best (name) in the world, and I thought, could You add a sum of ranks or Kinch score for names so that we know who is really the BEST with that name, If this is too much I understand, but I was wandering If is possible?

good idea

now you can select Kinch or Sum of Ranks in the events dropdown. it takes a little longer to load because it has to do a more complex query

P.S. it looks like I have to improve my kinch to be the highest spencer 😂

Random website idea I thought of earlier: If someone had the same world ranking for every event (single and average) what would the times be? Easy to find in the top 100 but anything past that is just too hard
you make a good point that the wca website only shows top 100

cubing.com is maintained by china cubing organization, and this site lets you see beyond top 100

Only problem with it is you need to manually click through the pages
No, you don't have to manually click through them. You can just modify the URL of the website with the page number you want to go to. To go to page number 240, you would use the following url: https://cubing.com/results/rankings?page=240 . If you wanted to go to page 10, it would be https://cubing.com/results/rankings?page=10

This wouldn't work if you want to see what ranking a sub 6 solve gets you though, that would have to be done by manually going through the pages as you said

@Spencer131 I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but competition birthdays are the competition's ID and not the competition name. (The competition was called New Zealand Nationals 2023, but the competition ID was NewZealandNationals2023.)
