cubingapp suggestion thread

anyone have good alg sheets for FTO that I can add to cubingapp? I will credit you

my goal is to have algs for every WCA event and FTO
Yes, there are a lot of good ones from the discord server, in the algset channel and other channels
For triangle corner permutation (TCP), there are really nice documents that have everything you need, both with the standard dayan color scheme with yellow on top: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VXpek2mT2d8Th_8wzDXMhWEZ869fjCum/view?usp=sharing and with grey on top: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RbHDb670ih-UlTw5stZfi8Oiwky0TSF8/view?usp=sharing (both courtesy of SAC2 )

We also have algs for Last bottom triple (LBT), https://zwegner.github.io/cubing/fto/lbt-algs.html , this is from zzw

also have algs for the 1-look pairing (1LP) step during last 3 triples (L3T): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WC1oiMGTeKxcea6LpOXJvDoarpw6gquy/view?usp=sharing , this is from Benpuzzles

And finally we now have a comprehensive algsheet for full 1-look last 3 triples (1L3T) https://zwegner.github.io/cubing/fto/1l3t.html , there are others, but people have said this is the best link for now. this is also from zzw

Something I would appreciate (as im sure many others in my community would) would be an option to have FTO as a part of the analysis. like the fastest FTOers with Chris as a name, or sum of ranks with FTO included, and stuff like that. I can help direct you to the databases for all of the FTO results if you desire. but yeah im pretty impressed by your website, it is very cool!

Some minor recommendations:

Instead of burying the algs at the bottom of the homepage, add a section with a link to a page with links to all the algs. (The same applies to the blog posts at the bottom.)

Change "Pyraminx Last Layer" to "Pyraminx Last 3 Edges" or "Pyraminx Layer By Layer". (The idea is to minimise confusion, especially as I've written an L4E json.

what do yall think of this hypothetical idea

you could create a profile that is similar to a wca profile, but in addition to your official PRs it could have other stuff like:
  • kinch rank and sum of ranks
  • at-home PBs
  • methods you use
  • hardware you use
  • (optional) bio
  • (optional) links to other sites like socials, youtube
it would be associated with your wca id, and you would authenticate with your wca account to have permission to edit it

does this sound interesting? what other ideas do you have?

I love this idea, my official is bad since I haven't gone to a comp in HALF A YEAR, so I would like to see it
And how are you going to calculate ranks? Luke the PBs at home compared to WCA rankings, or how?

the ranks page would show official results by default, and there could be a button to show unofficial PBs. it would work better if many people put their unofficial PBs into the site

I think it’s a good idea! It sounds a bit like the cubedesk user profile, except good.
