[Help Thread] Cubing Injuries?

Yeah, be careful. Cubing isn't worth messing up your wrists. Just a thought, the creators of the PowerBall (http://www.powerballs.com) claim that their product is good for RSI. I don't know if this is true or not, but I have one and it's a ton of fun to play with! I could see how it might be good for RSI, though. When you get the hang of it (which doesn't take long) it's a pretty smooth motion on your wrist. Good for strengthening your arm muscles, too. You'd be amazed at the workout you get from playing with it.

I didnt know where to put this so i guess i put it here and i dont think its a bad idea to have a thread like this.

What was the worst injury that you got in cubing?

What was the worst injury that kept you from cubing and for how long?

Ill start:

Today in baseball practice, i sprained my right hand and i cant cube with 2 hands for 2 weeks

I guess its a sign to start working on OH.....

My left index-finger hurts every morning before it gets warm, I don't know the word for it in English, but my finger is injured from cubing too much...(belastningsskade in Norwegian)

My Kitten's sliced my sliced 3 or 4 fingers at different times over the pass weeks with his backclaws (or front when he had them), meaning the cuts were deep but not too long. Both middle fingers, my left ring, and right index.

Not so fast wearing a band-aid, but they were only there were a few days. Lucky me?

I have a (most likely) permanent scar on my left shin from my 5x5.

that sounds like a very weird story

do you have a picture of the scar as it is now?
should look cool

also, I've got a horse-shoe shaped burn mark on my right thumb, now U turns feel funny (my U layer slides over my thumb when turning)

btw. the burn mark was from lighting a cigarette after I lubed my cube and I got lube on my hand (I didn't know silicon burns)

My finger slipped under a tile on the cube and it cut me. Couldn't use my finger for a few days because it hurts just touching it.

A couple of years ago, i broke my left thumb (throwing a snowball...). They gave me a cast, so i was trying OH. But then 2 weeks later, i broke my ring finger on my other hand (playing knee hockey...). That was not fun at all.

I got carpal tunnel. Whether it was from gaming or cubing, I don't know but I suspect gaming. MY finger muscles were pressed up to the edge of the desk cutting off blood for a prolonged amount of time. I couldn't use my hand for a while, I wasn't even able to make a fist. It stayed like that for a little over a month.
