So last Saturday my band and I were involved in a car accident. Due to the landscape and greenery along the road, poor vision led to us being unable to see a Stop sign. In result we (going about 40 mph) were t-boned by a car going 60 mph. After spinning 360 degrees and rolling off the road, we eventually stopped, upside-down. Despite us all wearing seat-belts at the time, one of us was thrown out the back windshield, landing several yards away from the vehicle. Miraculously, there were no major injuries.
Here is where speed-cubing comes in. My 5x5x5 had been sitting on the floor in front of me (I was front passenger), and was projected into my leg during the collision. The cube actually cut all the way through my skin and into my calf muscle, leaving a cut in the perfect shape of a cube.
The doctors at the hospital told me it was the first Rubik's Cube related accident they've ever seen. Has anyone else experienced an injury related to cubing?
