i was about to type a paragraph of really bad things but im not going to because im a good and bad person. all i have to say is, what the hell were they thinking? clock is super spectator friendly for most people, and its also the most beginner friendly event imo because it has no algs. what is the point, i dont see one.Changes to the WCA’s List of Official Events (June 2026) | World Cube Association
The World Cube Association governs competitions for mechanical puzzles that are operated by twisting groups of pieces, commonly known as 'twisty puzzles'. The most famous of these puzzles is the Rubik's Cube, invented by professor Rubik from Hungary. A selection of these puzzles are chosen as...www.worldcubeassociation.org

This simply isn't trueclock is super spectator friendly
The WCA says that Clock still has a high amount of incidents even after regulation changes, Clock is difficult to run, and spectators don't know what's going on, as per the statement they made.what is the point, i dont see one.
Ive spent so much time into this event, and when im getting good the wca decides to do this
But hey, make sure to sign this Petition to give clock a final chance
They are 100% correct thereThe WCA says that Clock still has a high amount of incidents even after regulation changes, Clock is difficult to run, and spectators don't know what's going on, as per the statement they made.
Just adding this, they did not listen to the results of the poll; it is the WCA executives that are going against pretty much everyone else.My assumption is that a petition is unlikely to work, as they already ran polls and made their decision based on those results. Nothing wrong with trying though!
I should also add that I do believe this is a net benefit, as I think FTO has much more potential as an event than Clock. It's bittersweet, and I wish that clock wasn't being removed, but I'd rather it go than FTO not be added.
The final sum of all wca staff and normal cubers did vote out as clock to removed.Just adding this, they did not listen to the results of the poll; it is the WCA executives that are going against pretty much everyone else.
It's just like the Yiheng sliding incidents, where only a few people in the WCA don't want to remove the results or only want to implement frame by frame for future results. It was not the choice of the vast majority of the WCA but instead only a few people going over everyone else to make it happen. But as we saw with sliding, ignoring literally everyone saying otherwise did not go over well, and the WCA ultimately did the right thing and followed the vast majority and took down Yiheng's sliding results. I believe we might see a similar thing happen here, since they also went against the poll they made for this very reason, as well as the people who would understand this more than anyone else.
So if you want to try to fix this misuse of power, then be sure to sign the petition and voice your concern in the community, but be respectful, as we are still dealing with real people.

I just added an edit, but 5BLD got more votes to be removed than clock did, so that's another point of the executives going over the board just to remove clock. The final sum of all wca staff and normal cubers did vote out as clock to removed.
But if you add them together clock still has moreI just added an edit, but 5BLD got more votes to be removed than clock did, so that's another point of the executives going over the board just to remove clock.
Also clock has a lot more reasons to be removed than 5bldI just added an edit, but 5BLD got more votes to be removed than clock did, so that's another point of the executives going over the board just to remove clock.
