Hey. Haven't posted in a while. Been super busy. New job, new baby, etc.
I haven't been able to do much with CubingUSA lately. Jim has done a lot of enhancements and it's great for competitions. Also, I believe it's done a pretty good job of connecting people in areas to help competitions grow.
But I frequently get e-mails where cubers tell me they want to connect with other cubers. I point out they can do that. Finally, someone explained it in a different manner. They want to use CubingUSA to find dates. Basically, the argument is that many cubers aren't really good socially, and if they can find someone already interested in cubing, that's going to make the job much easier.
So that's going to be one of the new directions of CubingUSA. Of course, it's not going to be a free-for-all. You'll fill out questionnaires just like match.com or eharmony.com. Some are going to be general questions about personal hygiene, cubing preferences, etc. It'll also be opt-in.
Let me know if you have any suggestions.
