I got from 1 minute to 35 seconds in 3 weeks with RouxI went from averaging 1 minute to 30 seconds in a whole year. The real fast people are like sub 20 in two months.. I think being sub 20-ish is the best I will get out of life. I and would be very pleased with that (when I get there in a few years)![]()
Who has went from never solving to sub-20 in two months? I haven't followed the general progression in recent years, but a few years ago if you went sub-20 within the first year of practice, you were real good. I know several people that took about 1 year to go sub-20 then became top in the world.I went from averaging 1 minute to 30 seconds in a whole year. These are largely my sentiments also. I think there is a factor with age also. I cube every day but unfortunately cubing is way down on the list of things I have to give my time to. Broadly speaking, I am comfortable with my (lack of) speed, and enjoy continuing to learn.

Do any of you guys believe you can be a world class rubix cuber...? Aka top 20 in the world?
Just an interesting question.
there's no reason why anyone (pre-arthritis setting in!) can't be as fast as these young'uns.
