Thanks. Decent for me would be Sub 4. Although I would be happy to consistently be sub 5. Right now I average between 5.xx up to 8.xx using CLL, and if I don't know the case, I'll LBL the rest of it. Ocassionally I'll use ortega, but only in rare easy situations. I always hated ortega though :/
Should I, for instance, concentrate on the Pi set? For example, I could write learning cards. One side shows the case, the other side show the alg. I feel like by doing solves(timed or untimed), the gap between getting a case I should know and one that I simply don't is too big to correctly remember the algs. I mostly stare at it until it comes to my mind eventually, or I'll look on my sheet. Both ways, it doesn't seem to sink in since it's more like that -"ah of course"*forgets it again*- situation I find myself in.
BTW the reason I want to get decent until end of march is that I'll go to my first competition then, and that got me into 2x2(never really cared before). I don't want to win, or be one of the best. I also wouldn't expect to get good times at the comp, compared to at home. But it would be awesome to consistently use CLL, so I don't get solve times all over the place, ranging from 2-3 seconds to over 10 seconds.
