Would you call full OLL/PLL intuitive because you can understand where pieces go?

What's the point of the "ohrely?" too? In cases like LL, learning algs is no doubt faster than solving with commutators.

What if you learned it by simply practicing the alg to muscle memory, and then looked to see where the pieces go later on when you were curious?

From all the tips that people give other people about memorizing OLL/PLL, I'm pretty sure that most people just keep on repeating it until the alg is in muscle memory.

You're learning your Roux algs intuitively, so I would also think that it would be considered intuitive. However, I don't think that just because you know where pieces end up, you would consider it an "intuitive trick" rather than a "learned algorithm".

I don't see your point. DAE_JA_VOO looked for reasons to learn anything that's non-intuitive. I gave him one, speed, that's why people learn i.e OLL + PLL for LL instead of solving it with commutators.

Badmephisto was a good call by whoever said it (sorry didnt take note of your name. His tutorial gives you a basic understanding of F2l and no algs need to be learned. His F2L vid is a great starting block.

I don't see your point. DAE_JA_VOO looked for reasons to learn anything that's non-intuitive. I gave him one, speed, that's why people learn i.e OLL + PLL for LL instead of solving it with commutators.

Badmephisto was a good call by whoever said it (sorry didnt take note of your name. His tutorial gives you a basic understanding of F2l and no algs need to be learned. His F2L vid is a great starting block.

Learn it intuitively and once you understand what you're doing, it's just a matter of practice, like everyone else said.

Definitely check out badmephisto's youtube page. His videos really helped me understand f2l when I decided to learn it. I really like his 2L OLL and PLL videos as well.

I am currently using Andy Klises f2l algs. and some of my own. I guess I just fail at cubing? :fp and honestly, a lot of people on here aren't that helpful to people who don't know much haha. JK. What are some ways to help in the process of (1) getting faster at doing moves in general (2) learning f2l and getting a stronger and faster intuition for solving the cube.. and idk just where did most people go after they got past beginner method? I'm not worried about oll and pll I found algs that I really like for that. just the f2l method I haven't been comfortable with. idk maybe I need to just give it more time.

Hey, I'm glad you found my guide . I agree though, it is very important to not just memorize the F2L algs, I even say it on the guide. It is best to understand them and follow the corners/edges (like others said), but also to categorize each case so that you realize there are really only a few basic cases and then the rest of the cases are just variations of those. I'm not sure which version of my guide you are using, but I suggest checking out my most recent one because I made some improvements in the categorization of each F2L case. Yah Andy. I have both of your versions. I really liked your out of all the ones I found and didn't find online. out of about 20. do you have any vids out?

Yes, but intuitive F2L isn't commutator based. In 99% of the cases, my intuitive F2L does the exact same "algs" that your alg-based F2L does.

If you understand what an alg does, and HOW it does it, and you can understand why you make each and every single turn of that alg, it's intuitive. For example: When you started learning your F2L algs, none of what you were doing was intuitive. You were just learning "This case = this alg", much like we've all done for OLL and PLL.

You should also check out his other vids, I think it was andyt1992 who suggested (in a different thread) checking out his advanced cross building video early on in your cubing life, and I think he's right.
