Hi all. First time poster here. Not sure if this is the right spot for this question, but here we go...Received my yj 9x9 cube in the mail yesterday. It didn't pop at first, but seemed a little loose. I tightened it up a bit and it started popping like crazy. I loosened it up again and it still pops. How do I know how tight or loose to make it? I know the design for it is crappy (unlike my vcube 7x7) but I'm afraid to mix it up because I think that if it pops when its mixed up, I wont be able to figure out how to put it back together. I am trying to adjust it while it is still not mixed up. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I don't think there's any particularly good tension, just try to turn accurately.

However, it's useful to know that as long as the middlemost edges and corners don't get popped, the cube will always be solvable when you put it back together. So don't worry if you pop a few centers while it's mixed up.

I have heard that the 9x9x9 cube is not very good. I have watched Youtube videos to see how average the 9x9x9 cube is.

This is a case where V-Cubes can regain some lost market share if they could put out a good and reliable 9x9x9 cube.

Or could Shengshou beat them to the punch again?

Even if V-Cubes made a 9x9, I'd still wait for the Shengshou. Shengshou is just a lot better. I don't have a year to break in another v-cube, and I definitely won't put pins in it :p haha V-cubes have definitely fallen behind, and have actually permanently lost customers, I dont think CrazyBadCuber will ever buy a v-cube haha.

I still keep hoping my Shengshous will get better, but it's still true that I'm faster on 6x6x6 and 7x7x7 with my V cubes. The Shengshous lock up too much; the V cubes have a tendency to pop, but I've gotten where I can mostly avoid that. Also, the Shengshous seem a little too small for me. The Shengshous feel better-made, but I'm still faster with the V cubes.

It might also be partially due to the fact that I haven't restickered the Shengshous with Cubesmith stickers; I have them in my color scheme, but the Shengshou shades are a little different than what I'm used to; maybe switching to Cubesmith stickers would help.

I've noticed that the feel of V-cubes vs SS is a lot different aswell, maybe you just prefer the feel of V-cubes (Like I do). I actually hope V-cubes starts releasibg more cubes soon aswell, or they are gonna start missing out on a lot of business.
