[Help Thread] 2x2 CLL Method Discussion

2x2 CLL

I average around 5-6 seconds with ortega...
And I know full COLL for 3x3 exept for the sune and anti sune ones...
I have a competition in less than 2 months and I want to get good at 2x2
What do you think is better?
*Use ortega
*learn CLL
*other
Is there an way to use COLL in 2x2?
Anything like that?

Yeah, recognition is very long at the eginning and very fast later :)
In 2 months you can easily learn CLL (~3 weeks if you'll learn 2 algs per day), and then you'll have over month for practice. You can easily have sub-5, maybe even sub-4 if practice a lot.

Lolol I learned CLL in 3 days

Anyway I definitely suggest that you learn CLL. Like Waffle said, getting used to recognition is the hardest part and you already know the recognition. And you will find that the 2x2 algs are far shorter, cooler, and easier to learn than the algs in COLL.

And it takes no real skill to get faster with CLL than you are with Ortega. I was sub-4.5 at one point with Ortega, and wihin less than a week of starting to learn CLL, I surpassed my Ortega PB's.

2 a day isn't a lot, if you feel like it is when you start you certainly won't by the time you finish.

Hasn't someone learned full CLL in a day before? I'd be surprised if it hasn't been done.

Pretty sure Jude learned (including recognition) CLL from scratch in a day, it just took him the next couple to get it solid. I could definitely teach someone who already knew CLL recognition *a bit* in about 3 hours.

How fast can anyone go with CLL at 2x2 ?

I wonder how fast (average) can anyone go with "ONLY" cll at 2x2? not even EG-1 and EG-2... sub-3 averages are possible with only CLL?

How can you make a layer easier? I'm very bad at it. I used Ortega so I am used to making faces not layers. Most of mine are adjacent swaps. So should I just learn eg-1 instead of the rest of cll. I only know h and pi btw.
