i actually don't even know how to solve anything larger than a 3x3.
I'm pretty much the same. Never learned 4x4 parity algs so I can't solve unless I'm lucky with no parity.

M slices can be done easily in a 4x4. So, Using Roux on a 4x4 won't be a problem. But, 5x5 or larger cubes, It's next to impossible. I use, CFOP with 4LLL on 5x5.
do you use roux for 4x4?
I am right now, my 4x4 sucks, but I can still do mid slices. I'm thinking when I get an Moyu, It'll be even easier.
hmm, maybe i'll give 4x4 a try some time later then.

Probably mostly solving the whole cube all together a lot is best with some targeted practice. May solving the whole cube at once, you practice each part of the method, moving smoothly between steps, and spend more time cubing and less time scrambling. Looks like your first block is pretty good. I'm not sure if you know full CMLL. If you are, LSE is probably too slow. If you aren't that's something you can work on.
I'm guessing you use 2-Look CMLL like me. However, I average like 17. So I think you're better off working on other parts of the solve i.e., f2b and lse and also learning CMLL at your own pace
I know about 30 CMLLs and plan on learning the rest soon. I'm sure my F2B could use some work, particularly SB lookahead. Is the best way to practice that just doing more full solves?
Oh and what would good splits be for a 18s solve? 15s?
Thanks!

Hm, I only know about 18 CMLL algs. So this could be hinting that your LSE has much room to improve. What's your LSE average?
I did a ao100 last week and got 4.83. But that was with inspection, so it is slower during solves.
We need some kind of Roux competition. I'm sad I can't compete in most of the competitions because they are mostly CFOP related. What would be a fun Roux competition? Like post a CMLL algorithm and see everyone's execution speed?
