I use a small hobby knife

On a side note, on the back of IZO stickers it says oracal and reflexite; Does anyone have untouched cubesmith stickers to read the back from ? To confirm if they actually are from the same supplier. This would kill the rumour that IZOs chip faster than cubesmiths.

Well, my IZO chip 5 times faster than my Oracle stickers. I wouldnt call that a rumor. Even tho they might be from the same supplier doesnt mean they are the same stickers...

I just put on cubesmith's on my main. Gonna see how long they last!

What's the best way to apply stickers? Currently I'm using a small knife to place them as straight as I can, but often they're not perfect.

Tweezers :)

Does anyone know which izo color is the closest to (or same as) cubesmith's "bright blue"?
Only thing I know is that "brilliant blue*" is a bit darker!

A couple of responses. I'm too lazy to quote...

Oracal does makes Vinyl. I buy it all the time. Regular colors are about $15 for a ten yard role. Florescent is about $35 for the same length. You can get a color sample chart for about $10 at various sign supply sites.

They have different "Models" that have different thickness and different adhesives. So the IZO vs Cubesmith question is valid. One may use a thicker version than the other.

Oracal Florescent vinyl is about twice to three times as expensive as non-florescent shades, if Izo uses a different brand for florescent shades the chipping could be different.

Cubesmith's bright blue is Oracal Azure Blue. Not sure about Izo, I only have one set of Izo's and it didn't have bright blue. I color matched against an Oracal Color Chart back in the Alpha V days about the time Haiyan got banned. It was a while ago so CS may have changed it by now.

If any one has some stickers, usually the numbers on the back are the "model" Like 651 and such. What do IZO's say? what do Cubesmith's say?

In reality the higher end Oracal Vinyl does not necessarily make better stickers because the adhesive is stronger and designed to last 5-7 years outdoors on a window sign. Not so great for replacing stickers after 6 months.

I've got plenty of Izos - EVERYTHING is Oracal:

Super Bright (comparing 5 sets, divided by /):
White: Intermediate Cal 651
Fluorescent Yellow: Fluorescent cast / 6510 / Plain /Plain 6510
Fluorescent Orange: Fluorescent Cast 6510 /Plain / Plain Fluorescent cast 6510
Fluorescent Green: Fluorescent Cast / Plain / Plain Fluorescent cast 6510
Fluorescent Red: Plain Oracal Orafol / Fluorescent Cast 6510 / Plain / Plain
Olympic (light) Blue: Oracal, some number ends with 1, guessing 651

Half Bright (Only got 1 set):
White: Oracal Intermediate 651
Fluorescent Yellow: Fluorescent Cast Oracal
Fluorescent Orange: Fluorescent Cast 651
Fluorescent Green: Plain
Red: Oracal Orafol Reflexite 651
Brilliant Blue: Oracal Orafol Reflexite

Izo's Favorite, comparing 2 sets:
White: Oracal/Orafol/Reflexite, same on other set
Fluorescent Yellow: Oracal Cast 6510, on other set plain
Fluorescent Orange: Plain , on other set Oracal
Fluorescent Green: Plain, on other sticker set Fluorescent cast Oracal
Red: Oracal/Orafol/Reflexite Intermediate 651, same on other set
Ice Blue: Oracal Intermediate 651, same on other set

Thought: The plain ones were probably from the end or start of the vinyl roles. Therefore it doesnt mean anything here. Also Izo's favourite's, Half Brights and super brights use the same fluorescent stickers, meaning that these are the models for the shades Izo uses:

White: Intermediate Cal 651

Fluorescent Yellow: Fluorescent cast / 6510 / Plain /Plain 6510

Fluorescent Orange: Fluorescent Cast 6510 /Plain / Plain Fluorescent cast 6510

Fluorescent Green: Fluorescent Cast / Plain / Plain Fluorescent cast 6510

Fluorescent Red: Plain Oracal Orafol / Fluorescent Cast 6510 / Plain / Plain

Red: Oracal/Orafol/Reflexite Intermediate 651, same on other set

Olympic (light) Blue: Oracal, some number ends with 1, guessing 651

Brilliant Blue: Oracal Orafol Reflexite

Ice Blue: Oracal Intermediate 651, same on other set

More data is appreciated especially with the Brilliant blue

Just placed an order for Cubesmith's 7x7 half bright set, then I found out that Izo's stickers come in two sets .-. Is it very different that Izo's half brights?

To me it seems like cubesmith stickers = cubicle stickers when it comes to colour shades in half bright sets. Also the difference between Izo half brights and thecubicle halfbrights is only the shade of blue. On Izo half brights the blue is bright blue, on thecubicle and cube smith stickers its just regular blue

Here's me comparing the two http://youtu.be/lffiHkBpWDQ
Basically Izo's blue is brighter than cubicles/cubesmiths blue

If you want the same orange as CubeSmith's "Fluorescent Orange", you need to get the one izo calls "Fluorescent Red Orange".. :)
and the blue is neither the Ice Blue (way lighter) or the Brilliant Blue (a bit darker).. hope this helps!

Thanks for the input, but it's not very important now, my cubesmith stickers have been shipped. I just wanted to try a new set of shades, with a cheaper price too, but I'm really not that picky. As long as it's halfbright my lookahead improves slightly! And windhero, I don't have thecubicle stickers to compare it to :p

Which cubesmith set matches closest to the above set?
These are the shades
7. ZBB: Z-Bright replacement set(black)
- black / yellow fluorescent / green fluorescent / orange fluorescent / red fluorescent / sky blue
8. ZBW: Z-Bright replacement set(white)
- white / yellow fluorescent / green fluorescent / orange fluorescent / red fluorescent / sky blue

Im guessing standard set
I'm pretty sure a standard set is just what companies like dayan and shengshou give us.
