this is a question to all the experienced roux users out there, how long did it take you to be able to do FB blind? i've been trying for almost a week now and im no better than when i i started. i just cant seem to plan it all out in 15 seconds (it takes me about 30-40 seconds).

Just started to learn Roux the other day from some tutorials floating around (Thanks 5BLD for the 8min tutorial, also lubix). I seem to be really inconsistent with my time haha. It ranges from 40 seconds to a minute and 10 seconds. I know CFOP and am sub25. I just find Roux really fun. I'm just gonna keep tabs on this thread ^_^

EDIT: Forgot to write why I wrote here... I was just wondering if you have any tips for the FB and SB as I seem to solve them too much like CFOP F2L pairs...

I know Kirjava wrote some stuff about second block and using Wide moves in previous pages. For first block, I usually find an edge thats already paired with its center(not including D and U layer edges) and then find the matching corner and D face edge, match them up and then insert. If this is impossible or too many moves to set up, I do CFOP style

Find the one edge that is not connected to a center and solve it by moving it.

Thanks, that helped me :D

And how can I recognize that, during turning? is there a special trick?

and another question, how do I recognise the sune CMLLs? Is there a better system than looking at RUF-UBR and then looking at the difference of UBR and UBL?

thanks
