What should I do to improve my time? I suck.

^ Why lookahead now O_O I didn't start look ahead until sub 35!! He needs f2l case recognition so that way he can have more duration for look ahead O_O

ok o-o but f2l is mainly pattern recognition! If we couldn't recognize the patterns then we wouldn't even be able to solve the cube with other starting colors if we weren't color neutral!

Practice F2L. What you should do is: Once you spot a pair, insert it but without following it with your eyes. Instead you should be looking for the next pair to insert. That way you don't waste time. That's called "look-ahead"

Ah, and also don't listen to Jorghi.

(No offence Jorghi, is not that you are wrong (I think you are but well). The thing is you are not really helping the OP, and you are introducing noise to the thread.
Is not like the OP is going to get from 40-50 sec to 18-20 just by becoming color neutral. And definitely he is not doing x-cross atm.)

why would he become colour neutral to shave 1-2 sseconds off his time, even then, it takes alot of getting used to to be able to use it effectively, in the same time it takes to be colour neutral, he could slow down and practice lookahead and shave up to ten seconds
OP, practice your PLL's, badmephisto has a great video on reconizing them, if you dont know it already learn 2 Look OLL, Practice your cross until you can get it in under 8 moves 90% of the time, then slow your F2L down to a pace that you can keep fluid and without pause, it doesn't matter if you start at 1 move per second or whatever, it helps a large amount

Practice, optimize your cross (practice doing it blindfolded), optimize F2L by practicing, optimize PLL recognition by practicing, optimize execution by practicing, and become color neutral. See a pattern? It's all practice.
