A friend of mine came up to me today and told me that, upon re-doing his entire 2x2 average in the weekly comp, he got a sub-4 average. I asked what was wrong with him since this shouldn't be allowed, and is dishonest in general-- A random competitor every week is chosen to receive a TheCubicle gift card, after all, and the top competitor gets one as well, unless I'm mistaken.

So I ask you, people of the site (while keeping the identity of this person anonymous): Should redoing solves in the SpeedSolving weekly competition be allowed or not? Obviously, there are times when it makes sense, like if you put in random results like 0.2 seconds per solve and want to change them so as to not get DNFed, but I don't understand someone doing a full average, submitting it, and then re-doing it just to cheat the system. A slow cuber is one thing, but what if the 2nd place solver that week dishonestly redoes their results for the week to get on top? If this is noticed it should be reported and the person's results for that week in that event removed or otherwise reverted.
