What should I do to improve my time? I suck.

You want to know what? I know fridrich f2l and full pll. I don't see why I have 40-50 second averages. I have a friend of mine. he knows fridrich f2l. He calls oll the "fish method". otherwise you would think that he has not so good time. but he has 18-20 second averages. DON'T tell me to buy one of those DIY cubes because my cube is already very good. what should I do? also it wouldn't work to learn full oll because I just go through all that trouble just to get a faster time.

First of all, use the search function.

Become color neutral if you haven't already. Be sure that your cross averages 6-8 moves. Practice look-ahead. And we also don't know what cube you use, have a video of an avg5, so we really can't tell you much to do in order to improve.

You should practice your f2l and get familiar with all the cases. Also try to optimize your cross. Then you could learn full pll. After that you could try doing f2l pairs blind to improve your lookahead.

You don't get faster, but you get more control over x-crosses and lots of things in the start.

You're have no idea what you're talking about. CN vs Fixed Cross(es) is NOTHING like skipping OLL/PLL instead of doing an algorithm.

What I oppose is acting like it's a fact that CN makes you faster, when it's not something you can know with certainty. I really don't care whether it in fact does make one faster or not.
