Faster big cube algs?

Hey guys. I was thinking earlier today about the algs to solve parity on big cubes. These algs use slice moves, and can do things that are impossible on a 3x3, such at flipping a single edge.

I was wondering if this could be used to make OLL and PLL cases better. The advantage is you can use slice moves that are not available on the 3x3.
This might have been though up before, but I thought it'd be worth a try.

What do you think?

Wat?
You mean making an adjacent edge swap into a opposite edge swap?
I meant when you are in the 3x3 LL stage, WITHOUT PARITY, solving the OLL/PLL with fewer moves/with a faster alg by using slice moves, which you would not be able to do on a 3x3.

EWWWWWWWWWWWW

Fw2M2Fw2UFw2M2Fw2U
Equivalent to the 3x3 alg F2M2F2 U F2M2F2. (What, you didn't know that alg?)

Neat, but it's a lot longer than RB[PLLpar]B'R'.

Ha, wow. That is a pretty long alg. Here's another for this case: Rw2 D l U' R2 U l2 U' L2 U l U' M2 U' D Lw2

@ this topic: I don't think anything slice-based is going to end up faster than the standard 3x3 algs, especially for a fast turner who can do outer slice algs quickly.

My favourite part is "rblr" :D

Well, I derived it from a 4x4x4 alg. Point is, you can use double layer turns in some 3x3x3 algs if you wish.

I agree. Still gonna keep trying though :D
