Running cubers

5:04 in the 1600 today(24 second PR). I was also going to do the 4x800 but my team doesn't have enough distance runners(and there was high jump shenanigan's) it unfortunately got scratched.
Goals at the moment(Will be subject to change as the season progresses)
800 - Sub 2:15
1600 - Sub 4:50
3200 - Sub 10:30

what do you think my 800 would be if i could do 1:07 400?

That depends if you are more of a sprinter or a long distance runner.
Usain Bolt ran like 44 seconds for 400m but 2:43 for 800m
I have run 59 seconds for 400m and 2:12 for 800m (both not proper races)

Ran 2:15 today in the 800. Managed to outlean another freshman at the line to beat him by .05. Got crushed by an 8th grader who ran 2:08 though. And everyone else of course. Splits were 1:05 and 1:10 I believe. Also sold the 4x800 but whatever. Hopefully running the 3200 Saturday.

I’ve raced a 3200 and a 1600 since I last posted and they haven’t gone how I’ve hoped. I ran a 11:13(2 second PR) and 5:07. I really need to work on my second half of both races.
Main problem for all distance runners is going out too fast. The way to challenge that is staying strong and not giving up when it gets hard.

I’m going out too slow haha, here I’ll send my splits.
1:12, 1:17, 1:20, 1:16 for the 5:07.
1:22, 1:24, 1:21, 1:22, 1:23, 1:26, 1:29, 1:21 for the 11:13.
I need to lock in, in the pain cave.
