Do you mean a solution like R' F2 R2 F2(I use F2 R2 F2' instead of R2 F2 R2)? I once had a PB with this before realising there was a cancellation(R F2 R2) so it was actually an illegal 3 mover.

No there was an extra U turn into the PBL
So it was a 4 mover technically

It's interesting that you have 3.42 ao5 with 2.06 PB single, I got sub 2 single averaging like 6 or 8 or something and had 1.05 with 3.3x average. You've probably been unlucky, but eventually you'll probably get a lucky enough scramble for a much faster single!
