I got a 2.44 on that scramble before seeing the reconstruction, doing righty insert, sune, and T-perm, but that was a really good scramble. Got a 1.70 with the recon.
Bro we talking scrams, I got one earlier and got a 1.78, but I misscrambled. It was a one move both layers into the PBL where it's solved R2 F2 R2. No AUF. Was able to plan whole solve in inspection.

Here was my solution.
I rotated the cube so that the unsolved orange sticker was at the bottom-right-front, I did U R U' to solve it, then I saw a cancellation in inspection and from there, I did R U' B2 U2 R2' U' R2 with a U AUF.
The solution all together was (y x') U R U' R U' B2 U2 R2' U' R2 U
4.47 with LBL

Edit: 5.48+ with Ortega and it's not even my main method lol.

Do you mean a solution like R' F2 R2 F2(I use F2 R2 F2' instead of R2 F2 R2)? I once had a PB with this before realising there was a cancellation(R F2 R2) so it was actually an illegal 3 mover.

Even if the R F R2 or whatever he used is a 3 mover, he did the first move of the solve to make a layer, so that would equal to 4 moves, thus making it legal.

It doesn't matter how many moves you do in your solve. If the optimal solution is less than 4 moves, it is an illegal scramble.
Ah, did not know that, thanks.

Also just realized what you meant in the previous post; doing the first move into the layer could almost certainly be cancelled to lead to a 3 mover.
