Best way to solve 5 twisted corners in megaminx using one intuitive alg.

Please share yo.

If you hold headlights on the back-right, the algorithm goes (R U2 R’ U’) (R U2 R’ U2) (R U’ R’).
This is super unhelpful.
Even if you wrote the notation correctly (U2' exists for a reason) it doesn't solve the pure twist, it just orientates the corners.

Read xyzzy's post directly above you and you'll see what was actually being asked for.

He asked for a 5 corner twist not a pure orientation alg. Stop being a pedantic jerk

Well, abijheet wanted an algorithm, so I listed one. It’s pretty intuitive.

Thank you!

Has anyone considered starting a megaminx solve by blockbuilding a 2x2x2-like thing in the back (basically two star edges + a pair) before solving the rest of the star to improve lookahead throughout F2L? Feel like this has probably been thought of already but idk. Are there any other alternatives to solving star and then pairs that you can do at the start of a megaminx solve to improve lookahead during F2L?

I remember having to relearn one algorithm I've forgotten on the Megaminx since It was like years since I last solved one. But now that I relearned it. It's relatively easy to remember. I have also solved the Teraminx back in 2020 as well.

I've had a megaminx for a few months but until now it's been sitting around collecting dust. Do y'all have any suggestions for getting started with learning how to solve it?
Solving the first face is relatively similar to how you solve the first face of a ordinary Rubik's Cube. Edge Pairing has a relatively different algorithm to that of a normal cube and solving the top is rather quite different.

This video should help.

I’ve also wondered this. I’ve also wondered if they can move on megaminx
This is not a super specific question so I'l assuming you mean can two (or more) centres swap. The answer is no. Megaminx (alternatively called the Hungarian Supernova) is a face turning puzzles turning on the centre axis. This centre is also set on a screw so it's not like you could even have some sort of freak lock up where the centre pieces swap. Like how a corner or edge could twist or, even more unlikely, two pieces could swap resulting in an impossible permutation.

Personally, I've never had that last example happen but I'd be interested in hearing if that has actually happened to someone.
