I would personally recommend the RS Skewb M over the Cyclone Boys skewb.my 2023 list
What are the current quietest 3x3's that are priced as shown below, and which of the (3) is the quietest? Thank you.
- Under $10
- Under $15
- Under $20
OK I try do it that way:(For all these prices, this is worldwide, not local Chinese prices so stfu Fukuoka Kengo James) The quietest 3x3 in general is the Dayan Tengyun V1 but its $25. If budget is truly a constraint and you just want a really quiet cube, the prices are:
Under 10: Moyu RS3M 2020 for $8.99 (needs lube but it's am amazing cube. if quietness is your greatest concern and you don't care about performance get the QiYi Thunderclap V3 M for $9.99).
Under 15: Dayan Guhong V3 M (don't get the V4, it has breakage problems) for $13.99
Under 20: Nothing between $15-$20 that is quieter than the Guhong V3.
Guhong V3 is the quietest within those budgets but the Dayan Tengyun V1 is one of my favorite cubes and it is definitely worth paying $25. it is absolutely amazing.
RS Skewb M sucks. I recommend the MoYu AoYan or UV GAN Skewb instead if you have money, but for a limited budget, the Cyclone Boys skewb is better than the RS. For the RS, the grip is just bad, and I still get tons of cube drops on it even after making it UV coz the magnets are just too weak. The Cyclone Boys skewb is faster, more stable and controllable and it's grippy with glossy plastic. Also, it is worth mentioning that something in between budget and best would be the Wingy v1. It's stable and very grippy, but maybe a bit slow for some ppl. I made my wingy v1 maglev, and it's so much faster while remaining stable.I would personally recommend the RS Skewb M over the Cyclone Boys skewb.
No Rs3m Super? From what I've heard it is better than the 2020. I haven't tried but am looking to find a good budget cube for a friend so just curious.3x3:
Budget - MoYu RS3M 2020 ($9)
Great - MoYu HuaMeng YS3M Ball-core ($26)
Expert - MoYu HuaMeng YS3M Ball-core ($26), X-Man Tornado V3 M Flagship ($33), Gan 12 M Maglev ($69), Gan 13 M Maglev ($84)
RS Skewb has great corner cutting and the magnets are good if you have a bit of a slower setup like mine. But you do you, I guessRS Skewb M sucks. YLM, although if you can, get the MGC/Volt.I want a Square-1 which is magnetic, but also pretty cheap.
What do you guys recommend?
where can i get a valk 2m![]()
I feel like the RSkewb (im calling the RS skewb the RSkewb now) has a different set of qualities. The RSkewb is faster, more adjustable, flexible, and is more frictionless, but has weaker magnets.Cyclone Boys skewb is okay. It's less adjustable, slower, but has a bit stronger magnets. But after putting a few 2x4 N50s inside the centercaps on top of the existing magnets it is perfect for me. UV coating it soon.RS Skewb M sucks. I recommend the MoYu AoYan or UV GAN Skewb instead if you have money, but for a limited budget, the Cyclone Boys skewb is better than the RS. Bell v2I know I have asked this before, but what pyraminx should I buy? I already have one at home, and its not a speedcube and doesn't have good grip because of carbon fiber stickers.
Tymon uses it.Is it still relevant? I haven't seen top pyraminxers use it
The best from what I know are the Weilong Pyra (standard), Gan Pyra Enhanced, Bell V2, and Yuxin Little Magic M but only if you can find an older one and want to extensively set it up. The RS Pyra is a good budget option.I know I have asked this before, but what pyraminx should I buy? I already have one at home, and its not a speedcube and doesn't have good grip because of carbon fiber stickers.
Nowadays the Weilong is the best one you replace the core. The Yuxin Little Magic M used to be so much better and many people still main the Stevens Little Magic however something changed in the manufacturing of the Little magic and now its a lot worse so only get the little magic if you can find a old Stevens puzzle.I've heard the weilong pyra's core breaks, and thecubicle provides and extra, but idk if cubezz.com also has a replacement one. Also what about the yuxin little magic? If you compare the weilong standard with the yuxin little magic m? which is better?
I think MoYu ships it with a replacement but I not sure so don't quote me on that, I also know the MagLev version's core doesn't break. Is the replacement core in all packages of the weilong? (like not only provided from the cubicle, but like in general)
