9:15.92 2-7 Relay

5x5: 1:16.47 - pretty bad
7x7: 4:09.42 - good
6x6: 2:45.94 - trash
4x4: 45.94 - trash
2x2: 4.51
3x3: 13.62

I'm still not sure which order is the best for me.

I do 3-2-7-6-5-4. I can find my first face in 2x2 in a few seconds and I do that first, then pick a 7x7 center and look for pieces for the first bar, then I do 3x3 inspection. I cut it kind of close sometimes but I have not dnfed yet because of inspection.

How much faster do you REALLY get with better 7x7 hardware? I have a budget Qiyi 7x7 and I'm not sure if I'm just bad or if it really matters.

hardware makes a big difference for me at least. Magnets are able to cut your times significantly because you are able to focus on what you are doing during the solve instead of worrying about aligning layers. I would wait for the fabled MGC7 to come out but if you really want to get into it now I would get the YuFu v2 M from YJ.

I got scared I would miss sub-10 but I got it. I got confused on 7x7 because I did keyhole wrong and flipped an edge on accident so my OLL looked like it was OLL parity and I was about to do the alg and then I thought "wait a minute that's illegal" then realised my mistakes.
2-5 was great also, especially my 5x5. I think my f2c took like 5 seconds

Meanwhile max park gets all centers done in 10-12 seconds. o_O

Dang you’ve got dirty fast times for big cubes taking into account your 2x2 and especially 3x3 times/speed. I would personally just work on getting a little faster at 3x3 to help improve LL steps and speed for all 3x3-7x7 because that can add or subtract a lot of time

I'm actually sub 9 on 3x3 (read my signature) just did a horrible solve because of no/little inspection.
