Lol like wtf is this hahaha
I'd assume the rationale for this part of the regulations is that it's possible to directly determine how many moves from solved a scramble is on 222/skewb/squan/pyra without a lot of computational power, but this isn't the case for other puzzles.Yes I read that and found it weird because bigger cubes have lower limits than smaller...

Yup, that's clearThe chances of you winning the jackpot in a lottery game 10 times in a row are better than the odds of seeing a big cube scramble that has a solution <10 moves. There are no filters because it's not really necessary.
Due to current world records being set at those movecounts, it would be unfair to the future of cubing to impose a higher movecount minimum. Why are the minimum move counts different? If a 4 move 2x2 result is valid why shouldn't a 4 move pyraminx solution be valid?
probably has something to do with gods number on said puzzles. Why are the minimum move counts different? If a 4 move 2x2 result is valid why shouldn't a 4 move pyraminx solution be valid?
The Tips might play a part too.Why are the minimum move counts different? If a 4 move 2x2 result is valid why shouldn't a 4 move pyraminx solution be valid?
Makes sense, thanks. Is that true for skewb versus square one as well?Due to current world records being set at those movecounts, it would be unfair to the future of cubing to impose a higher movecount minimum.
Since 2x2 WR single is a four-move solution, setting the minimum to 6 moves would make it that much harder to beat WR.
Square-1, yes.Makes sense, thanks. Is that true for skewb versus square one as well?
Transparent cubes are illegal. Is the transparent green MoYu AoLong V2 competition legal?
No, You can tell the colors of a piece by the orientation of the wavesAre the carbon fiber cubes legal (just wondering, not planning on using one lol)
too lazy to figure out the technicalities
Right, didn't really think of thatNo, You can tell the colors of a piece by the orientation of the waves
To what extent are usually-illegal cubes allowed for FMC? For instance, a cube that is only partially stickered, or even completely unstickered, obviously isn't (and shouldn't be) legal for the speedsolving or BLD events, but for FMC?
The regs don't make a special exception for FMC, so indicates that the answer is "they're completely illegal", but I also haven't seen judges checking the competitors' puzzles for legality at FMC attempts. Within reasonable limits, illegal cubes don't provide any advantage for FMC at all.
I make sure no competitor has more than 3 cubes.
