Help with roux method

I'm new to cubing. I started about a month ago. I first discovered Dan Brown's vid on Youtube, which helped me get my first solve. I soon learned that that was NOT the way to go so I started intuitive F2L. Then 2-look OLL and 2-look PLL. My best single is 1.10.xx and my best average is around 1.15.xx. Anyway the full oll and pll seemed a little daunting so I thought I'd give petrus and roux a try. I really like roux and understand all the steps except for the orientation of the six edges.

Could anyone help me/give some advice? I saw that in the thread further down by Smartyy, ooveehoo said that was his favorite step (unless it was ironic :p).

All help is appreciated
heres what I do: I look at the case on my cube. there are only 2 cases for M' U2 M',so I remember those, and then the M2 case also. So if i don't get any of those, I AUF for the case on the sheet and do M' U M'. The cases sheet I used is in grrroux.free.fr

After a lot of thinking, I am deciding to switch to Roux.
After about half a day of practicing, I got my average down to the Sub-30 Range.

What do you guys think I should work on?
My cutoffs are around:
1-2 Seconds for First Block
7-11 Seconds for Second Block
1-4 Seconds for CMLL (2-Look)
8-11 Seconds for L6E

I don't know, too many to count haha. We need to make a list.

Alexander Lau (7.37)
Kavin Tangtartharakul (8.79)
Kaijun Lin (8.88)
Austin Moore (9.48)
Ryan Przybocki (9.50)
Vincent Wong (9.85)
Tomoya Yamashita (9.96)
Thom Barlow (9.97)

That list is only the few I know of. I'm quite sure there are more.

Your second block solution is very nice. For first block, try not to rotate the cube, and also pay attention to that blue-orange edge. You could have solved it while inserting the blue-white edge with a B' after the R2, leaving only an F' to finish the block.

Yeah, I think there are probably more. I didn't know you weren't officially sub-10 yet, given that you're sub-8. You need to get to another comp!
