i still havent seen any proof of its badness. like, if you have to some awkward reaching thing to pull it down, sure, that sucks, but i only ever use it when it would be awkward to use my other M tricks (which, ill admit is not unoften, but thats okay because i still get the M done just as quickly). my more go-to M tricks are: flicking FD to DB with my right pinky, pushing DB to BU with my right ring, and flicking FD to DB with my right ring. i also do r' R a lot when i need to M into 4c, but thats very bad, do not do!

huh, i have a similar bad habit in the first move of 4c sometimes where i do r' M R for some reason. i don't where such ugly move came from.

and there's that solve percentage thread, what do you guys think are the perfect splits for roux? i think mine is around 20%30%20%30%

well idk about you, but im pretty sure that my habit came from lazy look ahead. sometimes i would forget to check the back piece, so if i knew i needed to do either an M or M2, i would do a wide move to look at UB and then turn it into an r'2 if it was one of the M2 4c cases. thats just because it made me feel like i was actually doing the solve with smooth flow or something silly like that.

splits ao 50 (using GuRoux's technique)

FB: 2.00
SB: 2.99
CMLL: 2.14
LSE: 2.79

damn thats actually not bad.... what to improve? (@GuRoux and @Ryan)

your lse is ahead of the game, perhaps most to improve is cmll, then sb or fb.

Its weird cuz my LSE has always been my worst step and it is pretty inefficient (16 moves). I guess I just spam tps and burst 7 tps with a little pause. How can I improve cmll recognition other than just solving?

2-flip cases and some 4-flip cases are 7-8 moves. The only <=6 move cases are the three movers and adj-flip on U + opp-flip on D.

most of the 4 flip cases are the easy cases, while most of the 2 flip are the 7 movers. i guess for me, 80% of my 6 flips are 5 moves, the other 20% is around 12 moves but solves UL/UR, and then there's eo skips.
