PB average while racing with Brandon and Ryan this weekend in the bay area (visiting there):

11.25, 10.26, 10.26, (9.22), (13.07) = 10.92 ao5. First sub 11!

Don't have the scrambles since they were on Ryan's phone, but pretty cool to get a PB while racing.
All I remember about the 9.22 was an EO skip.

nice job, looks like you're good under pressure. guess the next question is, who won?

Usually I'm not good under pressure haha (like in comp). But here I was pretty relaxed (not to mention very sleep deprived). We weren't keeping a tally of who won most, but I think I probably did (close between us Ryans), while Brandon doesn't really practice 3x3.

i still do the MU version but it is almost certain that people can achieve better times with the E version, so that's what i recommend.

Well, I better practice E2 M E2 :/
Haven't used it in a long time. I mostly just do U2 M2 U2 then solve from there (of course, I try to avoid it if I can). I can get decent times for E2 M E2 when I practice it, but in solves I find it hard to maintain fluidity.

same here. i find it hard to imagine how people can do it so fast.

Hey GuRoux, will you ever teach the "famed" Lau recognition method that goes with your BU prediction method, because sometimes the L6E will make or break my solves and usually the 3 cycle makes me spend precious seconds trying to figure out what case it is.
Much appreciated.

This is late, but I found the scramble for my first official sub-10 (two weeks ago at Rice University 2014):

9.93
R2 D R B2 L' B L' B D' R D2 R' B2 R' F2 D2 R2 B2 R U2

y2 z' M2 Rw B' // LB Square
R2 U' R' Rw' F // LF Pair
U' Rw' U2 R' U R // RB Square
U' M U M' Rw U Rw' // RF Pair
U F Lw' U' L U R U' Rw' // CMLL
U M' U' M' // EO
U M2 // UR+UL
U M' U2 M // EP

Great moment at the comp!
