Thank you very much for the help! Do you know where the best resources for LSE are? Also, at what point should I begin learning CMLL? As an ex-CFOP my two look is decently quick

In normal solving I use Fridrich, but I've started to learn Roux for fun. In Ua, Ub PLL shall I use PLLs with M slice or can I use what I am familiar with. I mean R U combination?
However, I have to note that during a regular Roux solve, you rarely get any (CFOP-like) PLLs.
In LSE when I solve first two in D layer (...)
Edit: one more question - what CN in Roux mean. I know someone put the question last time, but I dont remeber the answer. In CFOP I solve on white/yellow.
That's what you usually don't do in Roux. Generally, higher movecount and worse case recognition.
Of course there can be some cases when it is efficient, but usually, I don't recommend to practice this. If you still prefer that way, I recommend you to use FreeF2L with OLL/PLL or CLL/ELL instead of Roux.
For example, I am x2/y2 color neutral (which is less powerful than x/y2 or x2/y) with red bottom, white left. That means my block colors can be:
- red bottom, white left
- red bottom, yellow left
- orange bottom, white left
- orange bottom, yellow left
Ok. I can see my mistake. I've made some solves today and yes - I found the way first UL/UR then last 4 edges much better. I wanna learn Roux.
And thanks for explanation of color scheme I should use.
I take the advice. For me it would be:
- white bottom, blue left
- white bottom, green left
- yellow bottom, blue left
- yellow bottom, green left
And I think I will start learning CMLLs when I will be sub 40.
Keep in mind that you don't have to rush CMLL. Like I said above, I average 17-18s and I still don't know full CMLL![]()
yes, i started them at about 23 seconds and finished them at about 17 seconds. Even so, it might be time for you finish it.
for the second block: U' R' r' U R2 U2 R U2 R U' R' U' R U r' U' R (17) you're being too fancy trying to affect the last pair when there's not much you can do. try this: U' R' r' U R2 U2 R2 U' r' U R U' R' U' R (15) or U' R' r' U R2 U2 R2 U' M' U' (M R') U' R (14).
don't worry, if it's a speedsolve, sometimes you will have slightly long sb. once you build your lookahead a little, you can play around with how you solve the square to affect the next pair more often.
I don't get 11's too frequently (maybe 1 in 25). Is this about normal for a 14 s average?
practice smooth turning as fast as you can without pauses. i guess that's pretty much how i solve the F2B in a speed solve. Because i solve SB pretty CFOP like too, FB to SB transition should be easier. All you have to find is the DR edge to start moving.Hey everyone. Lately I've been having issues with look-ahead during F2B. Do you guys have any exercises you use to practice look ahead? My main problem is transitioning to last pair of FB. FB to SB isn't as bad. Then I also have problems in SB because I resort to CFOP style blocks.
