Guys, how do you remember which mini alg to use for EO. I keep messing up. Since I am CN with CFOP on 3x3, what is the best type of neutrality for Roux. I am kinda trying to get sub 25 with 2 methods for now. Roux is so cool! :) I do solves with Roux right now with Yellow on top blue in front.

If you are colour neutral, it's best to be colour neutral with whatever you can be colour neutral at. CN with Roux is hard, but if you are already colour neutral then try it with Roux.
For which mini alg to use, idk i suck at eo

Just as any other algorithm, learn them, and drill them.
When I learned EO, I constantly mumbled the moves, such as "this case is up, left, down, right", which is M' U M U' for example, the EO case for UB+UF leading to the most common/simple EO case of M' U* M*.

I use [x2/y2] color neutrality. Many Rouxers use [x2/y], I think a few uses [x/y2]. There is no need to be more generally CN with Roux.

Full color neutrality is extremely hard in Roux (as well in ZZ), even when you are already full CN with CFOP. You had to know your pieces far better for block buildings.

I think there is no best CN with roux, you should just experiment with them all and pick the one you like the most. I started out with full colour neutrality and worked my way down from there.

I think Robert Yau is cn with roux. link

What do you mean by "worked my way down"? Are you still CN?

Edit: nvn, saw your post above.

I'm partially CN, [y2/x].

I mean that I gradually eliminated things as I found they weren't beneficial (to me). Like for first block I found that full neutrality makes you extremely reliant on lucky cases, so I instead tried y neutrality which was much better but I still found I was relying on luck too much, so I tried y2 which I thought was good because you become very familiar with your blocks. After that I started experimenting with x neutrality, I switched between y2/x and y2/x2 for quite a while because I couldn't decide which I prefered, but I decided to go with y2/x because it gives lots of options for blocks while still keeping your familiarity with them. Then I started fooling around with non-matching blocks, starting out with fully non-matching. I found that adjacent doesn't really have much benefit, but opposite I'm still not really sure of, I only do matching blocks atm but I'm still considering doing opposite blocks at some point in time.

What I'm saying is that you should find the right balance between recognition and move count, but everyone recognizes things differently and everyone has different styles of moves, which is why I think it's important to experiment with what works best for you specifically.

Really didn't mean to rant but I felt that was the only way to properly explain what I meant.

edit: o just saw ur edit :P
