So I've been working on my F2L, and I was trying to find a resource containing some of the less common situations which I could learn as special cases.

I've hunted through about 20+ threads on this forum without a massive amount of success (although I did get a few). All of the cases on the Wiki, and nearly every other site, list only algs for the "standard 41" cases, solved into FR. Plus the Polish database http://f2l.net46.net/index.html which has the translations into the other slots.

So what I thought might be fun is to ask this. What are your 3 favourite unusual F2L cases? Or is there anything you have an different/interesting/weird approach for?

I've suggested 3 cases, but go mad if you know a bunch...

I'll start things off with:

d2 R2 u R2 u' R2

U R' F R F' R' U' R

r' R U' R' F R U R' r

Oooooh I plan to spend a lot of time in this thread with a cube in hand :tu :)

My 3 are ones that I figured out on my own. They're not necessarily the fastest or best ones I use, but I'm proud that I found them without help.

1) L u L' u' L' (Solves FR)
2) L U' L u L u' L2 (Solves FR)
3) R2 u R2 u' R2 (Solves FR)

why not just y for last one >.>

I think it's because S turns are AweSome ;)

1. F' R U R' U' R' F R (inserts edge to FR, actually a block comm.. [F' l F, R'])

Found it when I had just started cubing by taking the OLL R U R' U' R' F R F' and shifting the last move to the start :p

2. R2 U2 R2 U2 R2

Another intuitive F2L trick I found back in my blissful days of noobishness and discovery :p

3. L' U2 R U R' U2 L (easy WV case)

R U' R' U M' U' R U r'

Hey, wait a minute... :D
