When did you get your first Sub-10 single?

I averaged 16. Only remember doing orange/red cross(can't remember which) and a 6-move OLL to PLL skip. 8.88

17ish globally (my PBs are a fair bit faster). It was a few days ago. 9.09 with wide sune + PLL skip

Mine was when I averaged 17. I am actually not sure of my global average at that moment, as I was literally improving daily from 20 seconds to around 16 in a week, and my first sub-10 happened then, with an LL skip.

Are you sure you averaged 11 two years ago? Your WCA results show you averaged 16-17...

Yes OLL skip and A perm

At my first competition, my cube popped at every sole and if my cube did not pop than I messed up my last layer and had to do F2L again.
I was VERY nervous too.

i don't believe it took anyone until they were sub 12 to get a sub 10 single... you must be remembering wrong.

Well I started timing my solves very late and I already was sub 20 when I first timed.
After that, I did not cube that much and was just too lazy to time my solves.

oh I see, so you probably did get before you were sub 12, just didn't time it.

For all 15 solves? What about at your next two competitions, which were also 2012? You say you averaged 11 in 2012, yet you didn't even get a 12 average until November 2013, on your 13th round of 3x3... I find that hard to believe.

I was really really nervous. Even at my last competition, I didn't get times I was was satisfied with because my hands were really shaky and this was my 13th comp.
I understand why you think it's hard to believe but it's the truth.
