How did you guys get sub-x in any event?

2x2: Sub-5 (guimond)
Haven't put a lot of practice into 2x2 in general. Haven't finished learning all the algs either. Mostly TPS and planning ahead in inspection.

3x3: Sub-20 (roux/ssrc)
Got to sub-30 just with basic knowledge and some suboptimal blockbuilding. Sub-25 was after I learned COLL. Sub-20 was really just focusing on lookahead and better blockbuilding.

4x4: Sub 1:20 (meyer)
Sub-2:00 was just learning the method in general. Sub-1:20 came with better planning during F2C and better lookahead throughout the entire solve. Bigest difference maker was loohahead during FB.

Squan: Sub-20 (lin)
Sub-40 came with just basic cubeshape. Sub-30 was a combination of learning the lin algs and intermediate cubeshape. Sub-20 came with planning out cubeshape during inspection (planning the entire solution) and smoother TPS/ turning accuracy during cubeshape.

FTO: Sub-1:15 (benisco)
Sub-1:40 just came after learning the basic method. Sub-1:15 came with better hardware. Dayan is goated.

Lookahead REALLY goes a long way. Learning algs will save time but only up to a certain point - like 5-7 seconds at most. Lookahead can carry you hard - saving 15-20 seconds
