Curious to see how long it took ya'll to break common barriers in FMC ( and what you would considered to be barriers ).

Sub-50 was easy, just learning blockbuilding and NISS was enough. Took me around 1 week.
Sub-40 was a bit harder, but with insertions it became easier - Around 1 month, but I was stuck here for 1 year until I learned DR.
Sub-30 Took learning DR and HTR, took around 5 months to learn (I took a lot of breaks).

My first solve was 35 HTM, something I recently just tied ( I've only done around 5 attempts ). I'm thinking I could average low 30s consistently by the end of the year.

I didn't do a single FMC attempt until I learned all of the FMC techniques in Jperm's FMC playlist.

I ended up getting a 43 on my first attempt.

After doing some solves, I average about sub 35, but I have a DNF or bad solution rate of about 67%. I need to improve that.

I think my main issue currently is inserting. I make so many dumb mistakes, like putting on insertion stickers wrong, and inverting commutators.

Yeah, I can get sub-40 consistently just using Petrus/Heise + raw blockbuilding. I just implemented my first insertion ( Poorly however. I checked out the insertion finder and could have gotten a 26 ). I think sub-30 is possible with just insertions/blockbuilding ( although I think it would require getting very good at insertions ). Plus I'm pretty familiar with psuedo which helps ( I haven't really implemented it much but I don't think it be incredibly difficult. I also happened to know DR although I'm not familiar with HTR which would be next on the list. I also have to learn Heise step-3 ( I kinda just hope to get lucky on this step ).
