I was on vacation on the beach with some of my older cubes.

After this they were full of sand and salt, so i had to fully clean them so rescue them.
The 3x3 was no problem but I was surprised how many additional parts there are in a 4x4 core and it took me quite some time and nerves to reassemble it.
Fortunately it was magnetic and the pieces held at least a little bit together.

What is the largest cube you've disassembled and (successfully) reassembled?
Do you do that regularry for maintanance or do you just put some more lube in it?

The biggest big cube I disassembled and reassembled was the 5x5. I wasn't trying to do it to keep it clean, but it broke because a piece popped, and when I tried to put it back in (I didn't know how) every piece fell apart. It took me hours to reassemble it, and it was a big pain. Even though I watched tutorials, and my cube was magnetic (which makes it easier to reassemble). I first watched Z3cubing's tutorial, but one of the steps was too difficult for me, so then I went to Cube Solve Hero's video, and in that video, there was a step that was too difficult for me, but luckily I modified his method a bit, and I was able to do it.

My biggest cube I disassembled was my 6x6. But it wasn't on purpose, the cubes centerpiece moved to the wrong position and to fix it I had to take it apart and put it back together. I think it took me a total of 2 hours.

I do it regularly, considering my parents won't buy me lube or anything.
