I have JNet and CCT and they both work fine. I don't think they are really much different except if you want to plug the stackmat to the computer you should get CCT.
I was just wandering what timer applications you guys use and which ones do you think are the best? I'm using JNetCube, which is great but I'm just trying to explore the alternatives .
I like JNetCube as well (I have it up right now). There are several but for a pretty good online timer on a site that you can register on and save your times, try: Timer for Speedcubing. If you find something you like better please let me know.
I use JNetCube and CCT (mostly CCT now because I like to use my stackmat), but I use cubetimer.com when I'm not at my own computer. Thanks Dan for making such a nice web timer
I've used JNetCube and CCT, and they're both good. Personally, I like CCT better, it lets you put the timer fullscreen and allows stackmat use, along with all of JNetCube's features. 'Nuff said.
I've had minor problems with JNetCube. The timer sounds won't play on my computer for some reason (and yes, that same version of the timer will run the sound on other computers, and I have the latest version of Java), but it's still pretty good overall.
For online timers, there's www.cubetimer.com and http://www.strangepuzzle.com/timer.html , both are good.
The only reason I use went back to JNetCube from CCT is because I can't see the time as easily, and when I can't see the time I don't feel as much pressure. Also, JNetCube has a 15 second inspection feature.
