I don’t think Megaminx is called 五阶魔方 (five-layer magic cube) or it would be confused with the 5x5 (as 3x3 is 三阶魔方, three-layer magic cube). According to reddit Megaminx is 五魔方 (5 magic cube)

Thank you for the clarification, I guess what confused me is that it would still be called a cube, but that kinda alr happens in the west anyway to some extent.
